Mary Kate Cleary is an inter disciplinary fabricator that works both on the architectural and jewelry scale. Her background in agricultural engineering and applied design heavily influences her artistic practice. All of her work is activated by use, either by being utilized directly in farm fields or for use in personal and community celebration and remembrance. She looks to local natural history and material culture for playful solutions to problems real and imagined.
